Real estate has been more than a hobby of mine, for years. When asked what I’d do if I’d “win the Lotto,” my answer has always been, “Buy more real estate.” Taking a leap and becoming an agent has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The last 4 years, I’ve worked in a real estate team environment. Becoming a part of the Bouma Group, we have a team of experts in their fields. We regularly discuss what is happening in the market, what we have coming onto the market, analyze the data, share opinions, network with other agents, work with tenacity and have fun doing it! Buying or selling a home is a huge financial and emotional commitment. I want to help my clients to navigate through the process. I love my job and I love helping people buy and sell homes.
Over the years, I’ve nurtured my love for real estate in several ways:
- Built 2 homes – one on land in the country, one in a development
- Bought and sold our own homes
- Bought and sold investment properties
- Managed our own rental properties - for the last 13.5 years.
- Renovated investment property
- Held Homeowner Association positions
Prior to my career in Real Estate, I worked in IT for 13 years. As an email server administrator, I managed company-wide confidential information for a Global packaging company. My job was to provide 24/7 support. I worked closely with individual users from the Plant floor to the corner office. My life was data management and relationship building, problem-solving & communication. Managing & analyzing data was an integral part of my job. The company trusted me to handle servers for email communication for thousands of users. Employees trusted me to handle their individual needs.
Not everyone has the same need level. Some are happy to manage on their own with a bit of guidance. Some need you to be there every step of the way.
